Swipe gesture with onClick event

Question asked by Bruno Teixeira on Mar 31, 2017 11:33 EDT

Hi. I have a problem trying to use gestures on a form.  My form has several buttons and I am setting a swipe gesture to open a side menu. However, when I swipe inside the area of a button, the "onClick" event is triggered at the same time the "onGestureClosure" is executed.. How can I avoid the execution of the "onClick" event while swiping? Thanks.

Hi Bruno,

This is expected behavior. That is if you have defined onclick event for button and also swipe gesture set to open side menu and in the case where you are swiping inside the area of a button, both events fire simultaneously.

Please look below guide for different scenarios mentioned which are expected.

http://docs.kony.com/6_5/konylibrary/studio/kony_studio_api_reference_guide/Default.htm#gestures.htm%3FTocPath%3DGesture%2520APIs%7C_____0

To control this, we need to write your own businees logic like using the flag to avoid one of the events firing. If possible please share your application along with the steps(to reproduce the behavior), Kony Studio versin and platform details so that we can take a look. Also let us know which event was taking precedence, onclick or gesture.
