Hi Raphael,

We will definately look into this. Can you please provide sample or provide us with the special characters which are not correctly displayed so that we can try at our end. Provide us with the screenshots to see the difference of what are the special characters and how are they displayed incorrectly in Kony app.

Alos let us know Kony plugin details along with channel and platform to test.

Thanks.

Hi Madhuri,

Have you could move forward on this issue ?

Here is a (non-exhaustive) list of special characters that are apparently not well managed : ę ó ś ż ć ą ń

As you can see these are letters with accents (or cedillas). Cf. the above attachment to see how they are displayed.

Kr,

Raphaël

Also, we compiled our Kony application with Visualizer Enterprise 7.2.1.

Hi,

Please find attached application where we have created i18n for Polish Locale under Edit ---> Internationalization window. Build and deployed application in iPhone device.

Changed the device locale to polish language and when application is launched, we could see the special characters " ę ó ś ż ć ą ń " are properly displayed.

Also below guide has more information with the API's available for i18n :

http://docs.kony.com/konylibrary/visualizer/viz_api_dev_guide/Default.htm#kony.i18n_functions.htm

Kindly validate all the information and let us know for any further queries or issues.

Thanks.

Hi Madhuri,

Thank you for your help !

Just to clarify: did you use some function of the i18n API (I'm personally not a Kony developer), so that the device locale is used when the application is launched ? Maybe setCurrentLocaleAsync ? I guess this is necessary if we set a DefaultLocale (to en_US for example) ?

Thank you,

Kr,

Raphaël
