Enable webviewDebugging in apps

Question asked by mihai.mascas on Feb 16, 2016 03:16 EST

Hello, We are now trying to run some automated tests using Selenium on a hibrid Kony app. The app consist in a native homepage and a webview where we include a mobile website. Automated tests will be executed on the webview. For this we need to have access to webview content in order to identify DOM elements. On a native android app this happens when you enable the following propery: setWebContentsDebuggingEnabled . Is there an alternative for this propery that we can use in Kony?    Mode details can be foound here: http://developer.android.com/reference/android/webkit/WebView.html#setWebContentsDebuggingEnabled(boolean) https://developer.chrome.com/devtools/docs/remote-debugging#configure-webview     Regards, Mihai

Hi Mihai,

Thank you for contacting Kony.

Kony has not exposed any such property/API.
If the underlying OS is supporting then you can use that same property. However, we do not have any specific property/API to help in the web view debugging.

Hope to have answered your query.

Thank you
Rashmi
