I get an error while running a headless build. I have followed all the instructions on http://docs.kony.com/konylibrary/visualizer/visualizer_user_guide/Content/CommandLine.htm . The following is the error. "Vide is not initialized.."
We request you to raise a support portal ticket for resolving your issue.
Our support personnel will work with the product team and you in resolving your issue at the earliest.
I have installed Visualizer enterprise but the application fails to start and displays the message "Could not start node server", as port number "nnnn" is already in use. Changing the port number in globalpreferences.json maes no difference. Anybody else see this?
The issue related to a configuration settings in my local McAfee firewall (on my dev machine). After playing around with it, I am able to launch Visualizer.

Everthing works fine if you install the Kony Studio Plugins inside a standart Eclipse installation. Which seems to be the better option anyway.
Hi Kony Team, is it possible to use the complete kony sdk (including sync) as a cordova plugin? This question is somehow related to this thread: http://community.kony.com/developer/forum/integration-steps-integrrating-konysync-phonegap And this is the github issue I've created to explain my tests: https://github.com/kony/KonyMobileFabric_Demo_PhoneGap/issues/1 Thank you for your attention, Marco
Hello, I'm having layout problems when I try to place a TextArea2 widget inside a Hbox (this hbox has an image set as background on the skin). What happens is that the TextArea2 is making the Hbox larger (increasing it's width) and deforming the sking and the whole layout. Please check...
This issue is addressed in support ticket raised. Just posting below information if it helps users facing same issue.
The difference that you are seeing in the rendering of the popup size or more specifically the white image size(provided for the hbox) is because of the default textarea width. Because of this default width we need to use containers in order to get rid of this particular problem.
There are basically two ways to achieve this :
to set the horizontal expand property of the button "btnEnviar" to true. This way you will get the alignment as required but the button will look stretched. Providing a image size for the button which has more width that the current image will also solve the problem.
other way to achieve this is by using vbox inside the hbox "hbxComentario" where you are placing the textarea. Along with this you would need to decrease the popup width. We have modified the sample application along this change and will be sending you the sample app to your mail id.
Hi, I have a segment with a number of rows. Each rows has a delete button, which when clicked will delete that row from segment. Now I want to apply animations to the removal of segment. That is - when I delete a row, that row should shrink smaller and smaller...
Hi, is it possible to integrate backbone.js (or similar) in kony studio? I'd like to take advantage of standard js MVC / OOP practices including classes, inheritance, events, models, collections etc. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks in advance, Marco
When will the Kony Development Cloud developer tools be available for Linux operating systems ?
The Kony Studio developer tool and the Visualizer for prototype designers is offered on Windows and Mac. It is not currently offered for Linux based operating systems. However, the server software to run the development output for app services and web versions of the applications does run on Linux based operating systems.
hi Team, I would like to know the dimensions for creating splash screens for different resolution / models including Iphone 6, 6+, Android 6 / 6 Edge Platform Model Iphone iPhone 3GS iPhone 4S iPhone 5 iPhone 6 iPhone 6 plus iPad (Landscape) Android ldpi mdpi hdpi xhdpi Windows Phone 1x Phone 1.4x Phone 2.4x Windows 1x Windows 1.4x Windows 1.8x
1) From the two URL's mentioned above, i don't see any difference in details for iOS(iPhone/iPad). Both docs conveys same messages for iOS. We accept that there is difference in Android platform. Please look into the 3rd point regarding "Splash screen for Android Platforms."
2) Apart from the information information mentioned in the doc, please look into the below for iPhone 6, 6+
3) Team has already raised documentation update request regarding splash screen guidelines for Android platforms. Please look into the below information.
We recommend you to use the 9 patch image for android platform.
----> Android devices come in variety of display configuration with different resolution and pixel density.
----> So in order to choose splash image size to support different devices, developer should first choose splash image size assuming it to be suitable for a baseline density which is medium pixel density (mdpi).
----> Then it should be scaled across other different pixel densities (ldpi, hdpi, xhdpi, xxhdpi) appropriately. Also all these scaled images should be placed in different density specific folders (ex:drawable-ldpi, drawable-mdpi ...) in resouces/mobile/native/android.
For Ex: say, image size for baseline density (mdpi) is 100x100 then for
ldpi = 0.75 * size for baseline density = 75*75
hdpi = 1.5 * size for baseline density = 150*150
xhdpi = 2 * size for baseline density = 200*200
xxhdpi = 3 * size for baseline density = 300*300
Following guidelines should follow while designing splash screen image:
1. To avoid any chances of crash due to out of memory, splash image should not be very large for a baseline density (mdpi) device.
2. It is recommended for splash image to have an application logo in the foreground and plain or transparent color in the background and mark the stretchable regions in background area where color is plain or transparent and save them as a 9-patch png image in density specific folders. More information about creation of 9-patch png images can be found at http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/graphics/2d-graphics.html#nine-patch & http://developer.android.com/tools/help/draw9patch.html.
3. If splash image background contains some design or patterns then it can neither be made stretchable as a 9-patch png image nor particular size can be fixed for such kind of image to fit completely in the screen for all kinds of devices irrespective of screen resolution or density. Hence, such kind of images should be avoided and not recommended to use them as splash screen images.
